Hello, to make things easier please call me Simo. My real name is Szymon Żak, which can be confusing to pronounce, haha!
I've spent years playing video games. I lurk around various writing, worldbuilding, and storytelling places on the Internet.
Apart from being a geek, I used to study English and communication. Somewhere along the way I developed love for marketing.
Why even bother with storytelling?
Do you find it hard to get started with the fantasy genre and all that story-related stuff? For many people the beginnings are absolutely awkward.
There are many communities that evolved to become online book promotion fairs. Equally, there are many groups built upon repeating 10 best writing tips and follow for follow exchanges. While there are some great communities, they often cater the needs of master geeks. The discussion may be sound here and there but it isn't necessarily something newcomer-friendly.
It just gets harder to enter established fandoms and talk the talk, let alone be that person who enjoys something different! 🙂
What's Talebinder about then?
I want you to feel less intimidated while trying to approach the pop culture around fantasy and storytelling. Expect knowledge, discussion, opinion exchange, and a growing community.
We'll be wandering around, exploring, and enjoying stuff together.
One thing about Talebinder community – there's no place for toxicity, disguising harassment as free speech, and framing human rights as something debatable.
Let's make this place welcoming to wholesome people!
